Economics & Business of Climate Change(2,5 days)

Economics & Business of Climate Change
(2,5 days)

Objective

« In order to fight Climate Change more effectively, we have to turn it into a business ». From initial objectives to recent negotiations, the regulatory and business environment of climate change mitigation efforts have largely evolved. Europe has long been the leader in promoting Climate Change negotiations and quotas systems. Lately carbon taxes have been implemented, and some emerging countries are playing an increasing role in this new business environment. What is the economic rationale behind international negotiations? Where do we stand today ? What are the risks and opportunities associated with a low-carbon economy? How can your business benefit from this game-changing environment?

The objective of this seminar is to provide a clear understanding of the issues and rationale of the carbon economy and help professionals anticipate how to take part in low-carbon energy markets.
